Digital Education, Save the Children Campaign and Guide [1]

Cyberbullying, hate speech and other forms of violence are increasingly common among children and adolescents. To promote full, competent and safe access to the web, Save the Children has launched a new campaign on digital education, as well as a Guide with useful advice and tools for parents and other key adults enabling them to support young people in experiencing the online environment with both autonomy and protection.
The aim of the campaign is to make children and adolescents more aware of the risks and opportunities of the web.
The Guide, entitled Essere Genitori nell’Era Digitale (Being Parents in the Digital Age), contains useful suggestions for parents and other key adults on how to support children and adolescents in their experiences on the web, organised by age groups: 5-8 years, 9-11 years and 12-14 years. Insights and resources on various central topics, such as the role of schools and the school-family alliance, complete the publication.
On the occasion of the campaign launch, Save the Children also released some data, collected in the volume entitled Educare al digitale. Dati utili per adulti consapevoli (Digital Education. Useful Data for Informed Adults).
Digital Education. Useful data for informed adults [6] can be consulted on the Save the Children website.
