XXXIII National Conference on Guaranteeing Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights [1]
On 17 December 2025, the XXIII National Conference on Guaranteeing Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights was held online, chaired by the Ombudsperson for Children and Adolescents (Agia), Marina Terragni. The meeting was attended by the regional ombudspersons from Basilicata, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Lombardy, Molise, Piedmont, Puglia, Sardinia, Aosta Valley, and Veneto, as well as the ombudspersons of the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano and Trento, and the CRC Group (Working Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child), which presented the report I diritti dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza in Italia. I dati regione per regione. Novembre 2024. (Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights in Italy. Data by Region. November 2024).
During the conference, the regional and provincial ombudspersons brought two main issues to Agia’s attention: the situation of unaccompanied foreign minors and the forced removal of minors from their families. In preparation for the next conference, scheduled for March or April 2026, Agia called for the establishment of two working groups specifically dedicated to these topics. The conference also addressed issues such as addictions, youth distress, bullying and cyberbullying, digital use, and education on health and sexuality.
