The 1996 Report on the condition of children and adolescents in Italy mainly focuses on difficult situations which may jeopardize the children’s process of development.

As established in the agreement signed with the Department for Social Affairs of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Report was drawn up by the Istituto degli Innocenti of Florence, under the scientific direction of Carlo Alfredo Moro, Chairperson of the National Centre for the Protection of Children.
