Regioni al centro. Un viaggio nelle disuguaglianze territoriali per promuovere i diritti di bambine, bambini e adolescenti (Regions in the Centre. A Journey into Local Inequalities to Promote Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights) is now online. The document has been drawn up by the Working Group for the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC Group), and grew out of the third edition of the report I diritti dell’infanzia e dell’adolescenza in Italia. I dati regione per regione (Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights in Italy. Data by Region). The document provides an updated overview of the situation of minors in Italy, highlighting significant regional inequalities that affect the opportunities and development of children and adolescents.
Statistical analysis is complemented by an in-depth exploration of local experiences: between February and June 2025, 17 regional events were organised to present the report, involving over a thousand participants, including institutional representatives, service professionals, regional Ombudspersons, academics, and even children and adolescents who contributed their perspectives. The volume, structured into narrative profiles and thematic sections with expert insights, is designed to guide reflections, policies, and concrete actions in support of the rights of children and adolescents.
“Regions in the Centre. A Journey into Local Inequalities to Promote Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights” can be viewed on the website of the CRC Group, a network coordinated by Save the Children Italy and composed of more than one hundred Third Sector actors engaged in promoting and protecting children's rights.
