During the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccination coverage dropped drastically, leaving millions of children without any protection against serious childhood diseases. UNICEF's new report, The State of the World's Children: for every child, vaccinations reveals that confidence in vaccines dropped during the pandemic in 52 out of 55 countries surveyed.
The report examines the actions needed to ensure that every child, wherever they are, is protected from vaccine-preventable diseases, focusing on the role that factors such as poverty, marginalisation and gender play in determining whether young children are vaccinated.
