The Italian National Plan for the Prevention and Fight Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (2025–2027), approved by the Observatory for Combating Paedophilia and Child Pornography at its meeting on 16 September 2025, is now online.

The Observatory, set up at the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and composed of representatives of the central state administrations, law enforcement agencies and civil society, is tasked with acquiring and monitoring data and information on the activities of public administrations to prevent and combat sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of minors.

The new Plan, developed by the same Observatory and consisting of 11 actions, aims to promote the early detection of abuse cases, ensure consistent interventions at national level, strengthen the role of the family as the first protective network, enhance data collection, and promote at international level the Italian model to combat the phenomenon. The actions are concrete, measurable, and achievable within the two-year duration of the Plan, in line with the Sixth National Plan of Action and Interventions for the Protection of Rights and the Development of Children and Adolescents (2025–2027).

The document is available on the website of the Department for Family Policies.
