Called Empowering the Next Generation, the programme promoted by Unicef and the AVSI Foundation to guarantee opportunities for learning, inclusion, psychosocial well-being and protection to 600 Ukrainian children and adolescents in 5 Italian regions: Lombardy, Lazio, Piedmont, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Liguria.
Many initiatives are included in the programme: among them, educational support and reduction of the digital divide; extracurricular activities (after-school, recreational and sports activities, individual support) aimed at strengthening "what are defined as soft skills, i.e. the ability to learn and innovate, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity, computer skills, the use of media and new technologies".
The project also aims to involve 300 vulnerable children and adolescents, both Italian and foreign, and 60 actors in the education system: partners, teachers, volunteers and educators from civil society organisations involved in proposing extracurricular activities.
