On 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is observed, focusing attention on a serious social emergency and promoting deep cultural change, starting with the education of new generations, including through initiatives for children and students organised by institutions, associations, and other organisations.
In Italy, the occasion has featured initiatives such as Corri Libera, a 5-kilometre run open to institutions, students, and citizens, combining sport, freedom, and commitment against all forms of violence toward women, carried out with the participation of government representatives and institutional partners.
As further study, the online resources on the subject by the A.C. Moro Innocenti Library are highly recommended. They include a selection of open access bibliographic resources, a sitography and the main legislation on the subject: VRD Violence against women.
